Shortly after he becomes just the second reggae artist ever inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15, Jimmy Cliff will launch his most extensive U.S. tour in 20 years, Glide Magazine reports today. As part of his extended and well-deserved victory lap, Cliff will be making stops in such diverse locales as the Hollywood Bowl, Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay, and on Bonnaroo's main stage. The tour kicks off on June 11 and winds up on August 14.
Still no word, however, on an official release date for Cliff's much anticipated CD, 'Existence,' his first album of entirely new material since 2004's Black Magic. At this point, it's still slated to come out later this year, so we'll keep you posted on any developments.
