 'Five Peace Band - Live,' Chick Corea & John McLaughlin Five Peace Band

Five Peace Band is a Jazz fusion quintet featuring legends Chick Corea and John McLaughlin with Kenny Garrett, Christian McBride and Vinnie Colaiuta. After touring throughout most of the world in late 2008 and early 2009, they released 'Five Peace Band - Live,' which has now been honored as the Best Jazz Instrumental Album at the 2010 Grammys.

Lupillo Rivera Wins Best Banda Album -- Grammys 2010

'Tu Esclavo Y Amo,' Lupillo Rivera

Lupillo Rivera has lived such a dramatic life the past few years, that winning the 2010 Grammy for Best Banda Album should be but a small blip on the radar. The Mexican singer won for his album, 'Tu Esclavo Y Amo.' Coincidentally, all of the recent dramatic events have come every other year: In 2004, a Marine who died in Iraq had requested for Lupillo to sing at his funeral should he die, and Lupillo complied with the request, leaving one of his famous sombreros on the Marine's burial casket during the funeral. In 2006, after leaving a restaurant, his SUV was shot 7 times and on a much happier note he became a father in August of 2008.

Los Tigres Del Norte are no strangers to the Grammys, having won five Latin Grammy Awards and selling over 32 million records in their near 40-year history. This year they took home the award for Best Norteno Album for their 'Tu Noche con... Los Tigres Del Norte' record. In Norteño/conjunto form (a style featuring accordion that originated along the Texas border region), Los Tigres del Norte have been able to portray "real life" in a manner that strikes a chord with people across the Americas. Many of their most popular songs consist of tales or corridos about life, love, and the struggle to survive.

Vincente Fernandez Wins Best Regional Mexican Album -- Grammys 2010

'Necesito De Ti,' Vicente Ferná

The Mexican singer, producer and actor known as el "El Charro de Mexico" (The Charro of Mexico) and "El Rey" (The King) throughout the Latin world, Vicente Fernandez, took home the Best Regional Mexican Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards for his 'Necesito De Ti' record. Fernandez has become a Mexican cultural icon, recording more than 50 albums and contributing to 40 movies; consistently filling stadiums and venues throughout his 35-plus years of performing. He has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

Luis Enrique Wins Best Tropical Latin Album -- Grammys 2010

Luis Enrique Ciclos

Luis Enrique has won the Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards for his 'Ciclos' record. The Nicaraguan born singer and composer started his career in the late 1980s and achieved success in the 1990s earning the title "El Principe de la Salsa (The Prince of Salsa). As one the leading pioneers of the romantic salsa movement, 'Ciclos' represents his biggest breakthrough in over a decade.

Lali Puna Announces First New Album in Over Five Years


Munich Germany's Lali Puna have finally announced they're coming out with a new record--their first since 2004's 'Faking The Books.'

The new record, entitled 'Our Inventions,' will be released April 6th on Morr Music, and along with the wonderful Valerie Trebeljahr and members of The Notwist and Tied & Tickled Trio, there's a special appearance by none other than Yellow Magic Orchestra's Yukihiro Takahashi.
