Dancehall singer Mad Cobra has been shot several times in Spanish Town, Jamaica, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting. The artist was apparently shot three times at his house in Portmore, just outside Kingston. Cobra is currently in critical condition, and although no arrests have been made, authorities are apparently convinced that the incident is unrelated to Monday's shooting of fellow dancehall artist Oneil Edwards.According to the Jamaica Observer, Edwards remains in critical condition after being shot multiple times at 1:30 am Monday morning. He reportedly lost a finger in the incident, and a bullet apparently fragmented in his head, leading to drastic brain swelling. However, sources say that the singer's vital signs have stabilized, and the swelling has diminished significantly. On Tuesday, the Voicemail singer's colleagues and friends in the Jamaican music community organized a vigil at Kingston Public Hospital to show support for their ailing friend, and to sing and pray for his recovery. Among those in attendance included Geefus, Macka Diamond, Ashley Martin, Bugle, Raine, Nicky B, Mr Vegas and D'Angel.
