Last weekend, glam rocker Adam Lambert came under some pretty heavy heat from one observant Twitter user, who accused the former 'American Idol' star of copying Tokio Hotel lead singer Bill Kaulitz's avatar image. Instead of brushing the comment aside, though, Lambert responded to the user (who also happens to be a Tokio Hotel fan), retweeting the message and saying, "Ha. Was inspired by Elvis." And that was just the beginning.
As NeonLimelight reports, Lambert apparently took the accusation to heart, and went on to say, "I was rockin this hairdo when bill still had his lions mane...all this copycat talk is dumb." Lambert further pointed out that he's "Been wearing eye makeup and nail polish since that boy was like 12 or something... No ones copying... Just so happen to have similar taste." Fully aware of the "fan riot" to which his fightin' words might give rise, Lambert went on to encourage that both groups of fans calm down, and "spend your energy more wisely."
1. Sigh. I wish this would just go away already. But of course it won't. Cue the rabid TH fans and their constant "Adam is a copycat" bleating.

7. Personally I think Bill is a Better singer. I do agree with Adam tho they both just have similar styles, there music is quite different. Anyone who likes Tokio Hotel know tht they have the best fans who r some times a bit over protective of there band haha.

16. I love both Adam and Tokio Hotel, but these sort of fans make me reluctant to admit that I listen to TH for fear of being perceived as another rabid, immature fangirl. It's really sad that the behaviour of these "fans" reflects badly on the band - they can't help who their fans are. Both Adam and Tokio Hotel are talented artists in their own right and I wish that people would focus on that instead of one person supposedly copying the other. Not to mention that these TH "fans" seem to be ignoring the fact that Adam was rocking the Elvis quiff before Bill...

18. This is all very childish!! I am a very big TH fan,but not rabid...and I could care less who looks like who!!! I don't even think this would be a big deal if it wasn't for the fact that Adam has said he has a crush on Bill...and that Bill was a little bit of a hair inspiration...enough said!
