The first KPOP girl group to sign on with Universal Music Japan, Kara, will officially debut in July or August. Kara is leaving for Japan on May 7 to meet and shake hands with 8,000 fans in Japan at the Grand Prince hotel. On the 9th, Kara is throwing a Japanese fan club meeting at Yokohama's Mina Torimirai hotel and are expecting 3,000 attendees. Back in February, tickets to their Japanese showcase at Akasaka Bridge sold out in 5 minutes, prompting them to extend their concert. An Entertainment representative stated, "It seems like a new Japanese market will open through Kara."
