Just before she was set to embark on the European leg of her comeback tour, Whitney Houston was rushed to a hospital in Paris Tuesday night, where doctors treated her for an ear, nose and throat infection. The American diva was scheduled to perform at Bercy stadium, but doctors advised her against performing, and organizers soon canceled Houston's next three concert dates in the U.K. According to an anonymous source close to Houston, the singer has been afflicted with "chronic rhinopharyngitis," a swelling of the mucus membranes in the nose and pharynx, as well as an upper respiratory infection. As RFI reports, all of the canceled shows have been rescheduled for June. Fans who held tickets for her Bercy show can claim a refund, but will have to purchase new tickets for her rescheduled show, which has been slated for June 1, at Bercy. Houston's 'Nothing But Love' tour is her first major concert swing in a decade, and kicked off in December, when she performed in Russia. Since then, though, she's received criticism from many dissatisfied fans, including several Australian attendees who, as we reported last month, openly suspected that the oft-troubled singer was suffering from some physical ailments.
