The 2010 World Cup will open this June with a kick-off conert heavy on African performers, and a fair share of global pop stars. Being described by FIFA as the "inaugural" concert of its type, the show intends to open the football competition with a music event unprecedented in scale for FIFA. The event, curated and organized by Kevin Wall, will include 12 acts performing at Orlando Stadium to a crowd of 30,000 concert goers. Along with household pop names like Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, and John Legend, the concert also features African stars like Amadou & Miriam, hometown heroes BLK JKS and Vusi Mahlasela, Vieux Farka Touré, and Tinariwen.See the full 2010 FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Concert lineup after the jump.
