Gong Myoung, the Only Korean Band at SXSW

Gong Myoung, Korean percussion quartet, is the only Korean band performing at SXSW this year. The musicians, who are classically trained in Korean traditional music, are Park Seung-won, Cho Min-su, Kang Seong-il, and Song Gyeong-geun. They are so old-school they make their own instruments. They reinvent traditional Korean sounds by mixing it up with modern sounds. Consider them a true respite from mainstream KPOP. Check out why this fusion band has such an international following.
