U.S. based Nacional Records is the leading and most dynamic Latin Alternative label in the States, and perhaps the most engaging Latin indie label in the world. The label lead by Thomas Cookman has several Chilean acts on its catalog, including the renowned bands Los Tres and Los Bunkers, and now they have announced the digital release of 'Fuerza Chile', a Chile-relief compilation. The compilation will feature Chile's latest pop sensations Francisca Valenzuela and Javiera Mena, who had two of the most critically acclaimed debut albums in years. Mena and Gonzalo Yanez will contribute to the album with 'Maldigo Del Alto Cielo' and 'Ausencia' respectively, two classics by Chilean legend Violeta Parra. Other artists making an appearance include Latin Bitman, Senor Coconot and RH+.
Also on the album is Anita Tijoux, one of the most successful female MCs in Latin America, and who recently announced the release of her U.S. debut album through Nacional. 'Fuerza Chile' is on sale now for just $5.99; all the money will benefit Chile's reconstruction.
