Lady GaGa, Robbie Williams Win Big at German Echo Awards

Lady GagaEven though she didn't make the trip to Berlin for this year's Echo music awards ceremony, Lady GaGa, as usual, made her presence felt. The New York pop diva and fashion chameleon took home three awards for best newcomer, best international rock or pop act, and hit of the year, for the single 'Pokerface.' Other notable winners at this year's Echos included British pop sensation Robbie Williams, as well as Sade.

Germany, of course, was healthily represented, as well. Reggae/hip-hop fusion artist Peter Fox won the grand prize of best album, for his latest work, 'Stadtaffe,' and reassured fans at the podium that there will be plenty more from him in the future. As Deutsche Welle reports, Fox told his hometown crowd, upon accepting the award, "I won't stop making music," even after he rejoins his group Seeed, as many expect him to. Rammstein and rapper Sido also came home happy, garnering awards in the alternative music and rap categories, respectively.
