JPOP group Monkey Majik will release their thirteenth single and their very first sakura (cherry blossom) song on March 10th. The single will include a standard and acoustic version of the song 'Sakura' as well as a b-side titled 'With you.' A special version of the single will also include a DVD featuring seven performances from their ongoing national tour.Perhaps even more notable than the release of this spring song is its cover art, just released this week. As seen on Natalie, the single's cover features Canadian Monkey Majik founder Maynard Plant in a traditional Japanese top knot and a full-back cherry blossom tattoo. It's quite serious, but the flipside image also features the rest of the band members, and it ends up being quite comical.

1. I think it's good that Maynard & Blaise take on the Japanese culture, to in a sense become part of the Japanese to have the most "Japanese" people, which there aren't that many these days, actually buy the album. I am sure Maynard doesn't actually have that tatoo. It's just a gimmick for the album cover.
