JoongAng Daily reports that world artist BoA will return to Korea to launch her new album on August 25th, marking the 10th anniversary of her KPOP debut. She first appeared in 2000, quickly becoming the nation's favorite new singer--think the equivalent of American pop sensation Britney Spears minus the bad girl baggage. Before long, BoA's name and music spread throughout Asia.Since her last Korean album, 'Girls on Top,' was released in 2005, BoA has focused solely on overseas markets, namely Japanese and American. Last month, BoA released her 7th Japanese album, 'Identity.' She also released two U.S. singles. The U.S. reception was not so hot, but it certainly was no failure.
A SM Entertainment rep announced, "2010 is a very meaningful year for BoA. She might be a producer for the album." Besides touring in Japan to promote her new album, she is currently collecting songs and preparing for August's hopefully hit album.
