French rapper Disiz La Peste is reportedly giving up his name. And he may be giving up hip-hop, too. According to MusicActu, the rapper is sticking to his word after releasing last year's prophetic 'Disiz The End,' and has now decided to officially change his stage name to Peter Punk. It's under this new pseudonym that he'll be releasing a new eponymous album this Spring. Scheduled to drop on April 20, the CD, according to the artist, blends electro, rock and punk memes within a characteristically urban framework. So while it seems that his latest musical incarnation will at least keep one foot in the hip-hop pool, fans may indeed have to cope with the fact that the days of Disiz's pure and raw hip-hop sound may be drawing to an end.
