X Japan Relocates to Los Angeles, Plans Debut U.S. Concert Before Lollapalooza

Japanese rock band X Japan continues to show that they're serious about growing their American fan base. We reported earlier that the band will perform at Chicago's Lollapalooza Music Festival this August. Now the four members are moving to the Los Angeles area as their new base, and they plan to hold a "simple" live concert before their big Lollapalooza performance.

The other Japan-based band members will now join Yoshiki, who has been living in L.A. for over ten years now. This was revealed at a Japanese launch event for the Yoshiki's jewelry brand, where band guitarist SUGIZO joined Yoshiki as a surprise guest to make the announcement. According to ANN, Lollapalooza will not be their first U.S. appearance, as the band is working to set up a smaller live performance in the Los Angeles area first.
