Belgium, home to groups like Ghinzu, dEUS, and Puggy, now has a new bright star on its musical horizon. After having started his career in the rap group Suspicion, Paul Van Haver decided to pursue a solo career, adopted the name Stromae ("Maestro" rearranged), and released his debut single, 'Alors on danse.' Now, as MusicActu reports, he and his electronic hip-hop track are seated atop France's download charts. As a debut effort, it's certainly noteworthy, even if Straemo's techncially been on the radar for a while, now. Before this most recent breakthrough, he composed a few songs on rapper Kery James' album, 'A l'Ombre du Show Business,' and has also worked with Melissa M and Indonesian pop star Anggun. With 'Alors on danse,' however, the artist has officially introduced himself to the world, and the world, it seems, has taken note.
You can listen to 'Aors on danse' on Stromae's Website.
