Iranian rock band Hypernova has made a major splash in America, garnering accolades from the LA Times, ABC News, NY Times, NPR and MTV. The five-piece guitar-driven band is set to release 'Through the Chaos' on Narnack Recors on April 6, with the first single from the album, 'Fairy Tales,' coming out on March 2.When the band tired of playing secret gigs in parking lots in Iran, they moved to Los Angeles, and eventually rooted in New York City, on their musical quest. "There are many amazing musicians [in Iran] driven by a burning passion who are literally putting their lives on the line for their music, just like we did. There's nothing more beautiful than raw and sincere music," said lead singer and guitarist Raam, in a press release for the recording.
Produced by Herwig Maurer and mixed by Sean Beaven, who has worked with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and No Doubt, the members of Hypernova are hoping this slickly produced, alternative pop sound will continue to inspired international audiences. "Our hopes for the future are to keep playing bigger and badder shows," concludes Raam. "There's nothing better than traveling around the world and playing your music to all kinds of different people. 'Through the Chaos' is basically the story of Hypernova. From the first track to the last, the album tells the story of our lives."
