Doug Fieger, of 'My Sharona' Fame, Dead at 57

Doug Fieger, the lead singer of The Knack and the mind behind the smash hit single 'My Sharona,' has passed away at the age of 57. As NME reports, the singer died in California on Valentine's Day, after suffering from cancer for several years. While Fieger will undoubtedly be best known for 'Sharona,' one of the best-selling singles in US history, he also did quite a few other things in music. He played bass guitar for a brief period with the German progressive rock group Triumvirat, and played bass and sang lead vocals for the group Sky.
