After already having garnered an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff just continues to rake in the awards. His latest honor, according to the Jamaica Gleaner, will be a Lifetime Achievement Award at tomorrow evening's LINKZ Awards Show in Montego Bay. As LINKZ 96 FM CEO Roger Allen says, Cliff "is someone whom we all are proud of and he is from right here in western Jamaica, so we decided that he is deserving of this award." The awards will kick off Friday night, and will feature Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Charlie Blacks and Brown Sugar, among others--all of whom are nominated in various categories.
