Japanese band X Japan has been invited to play at Chicago's Lollapalooza Music Festival this August. While an official announcement has yet to be made, band member Yoshiki revealed that the band has been offered a place on the main stage while at the Grammys this weekend. They have accepted, and an official announcement will be made later this month, according to ANN.
This appearance will be X Japan's first official U.S. concert appearance. They would also be the first Japanese band ever to perform on Lollapalooza's main stage.
