Disney Goes Bollywood with Zokkomon

ZokkomonNever shy about its global reach, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, India, recently unveiled the poster for its first Hindi feature film, 'Zokkomon.' Like many of the animated classics created in its Hollywood studio, is it an action/adventure flick in which a young orphan is abandoned by his unforgiving uncle, which causes him to embark on an extraordinary journey.

Thirteen-year-old Darsheel Safary is playing the lead role of Kunal. The young man made his mark in Bollywood cinema when playing a dyslexic child three years ago in the film, 'Taare Zameen Par.' To be released on May 7, Safary has been quoted as saying, "This is a great fantasy film and I had great fun doing it... It's totally different from my last film 'Taare Zameen Par' which was very emotional." The soundtrack of the movie will be created by the trio of Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy, with lyrics being provided by Javed Akhtar.
