Swedish Hip Hop Star Claims Self Defense in Killing

David Moses Jassy, better known to Swedish music fans as Dave Monopoly, has pleaded not guilty to murder, assault, and various other charges following the November 2008 death of LA musician John Osnes. As Yahoo!News reports, attorneys for the 35-year old producer claimed he got out of his car and attacked the pedestrian because he "feared for his own safety as well as that of his girlfriend." According to prosecutors, though, Dave Monopoly went well overboard, as they claim he repeatedly kicked the victim in the head, before running him over in his SUV. Osnes later died after being treated at a local hospital. If convicted, the Stockholm based hip hop star could face life in prison.
