After all the speculation, it appears that Jimmy Cliff will indeed join Bob Marley as only the second reggae artist to be ordained into the vaunted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As we reported earlier, there had been perculating rumors that Cliff had a strong chance at the hall, though many doubted that he would have the chops to get in. Now, though, many are reporting that Cliff will be entering the Hall, along with Abba, Genesis, The Stooges, and The Hollies. Cliff made his big break in the 60s, but it wasn't until the 1970s, with the release of the movie 'The Harder They Come,' that he made his name carried weight internationally. The official announcement wasn't expected until early next month, but the final five names have been leaked to the press, and, it seems, the entire reggae community has reason to celebrate.
