Media darling and innocent Kanye victim Taylor Swift recently raised a few eyebrows when she posed for a photograph next to someone wearing a t-shirt with a swastika on the front. The photo, taken at Katy Perry's 25th birthday bash, quickly made the viral rounds, and led to rumors and speculation that the squeaky clean country singer may actually have a grotesque, hateful dark side-some even went so far as to speculate that the "JH" on Swift's sweater stood for "Jew Hater."
Not so fast. A few days after the photo leaked, Swift's publicist came out and cleared up any confusion. The guy with the swastika is a male model named AJ, apparently, who, besides being just another regular male model, is also just a regular superfan like everyone else. According to Swift's rep, "Taylor took pictures with about 100 people that night... she doesn't know who this guy is and she didn't realize what was on his shirt." The "JH" on her sweater, which was written in chocolate (per the Willy Wonka theme of the party), actually stands for Julianne Hough, a close friend of Taylor's. For his part, AJ says that the swastika was originally a cross, and then fell victim to other drunken pranksters in attendance.
